I gave this set and the alphabet set to my nephew for Christmas….Looks great and they are very pretty but they don’t stick well at all!! My sister ended up throwing them out rather than kicking them around her kitchen–very embarassing!

I gotta say, I do not know what people are talking about when they claim these magnets are not durable, or whatever.
We purchased these when my son became, oh, let’s say 12 months old and started really wanting to play on the refrigerator. Perfect toy for this; keeps him entertained while I work/cook/clean. He already had magnetic letters and a set of magnetic Sesame Street characters, but these were a whole new world of fun. Since he’s had these magnets, he has learned all 20 animals and can correctly point to them when asked, like, “where’s the rooster?”
We have not had any problems, or even any approximate problems, with the lithos peeling up. In any case, these magnets are reasonably priced enough that I would sort of expect some durability issues…nine bucks for twenty magnets? A very good deal.
Massive thumbs-up from us and from our little Eddie, who now knows what a tiger looks like!

Another great Melissa and Doug product for me to use with children with special needs birth to three (primarily 18-36 months). The only reason I didn’t go with 5 stars is that the paper wears off around the edges after wiping (several times) with clorox or lysol wipes. This probably would not be an issue in a home environment, but I use my toys with several children in several home visits during the course of a day.
I always recommend Melissa and Doug products to the families I work with.

I had been looking for some magnets to have on the refrigerator for my grandaughter to play with. The letters and number sets just had this small magnet in them that I was concerned she could dislodge and lose or worse yet accidently swallow! These animal magnets have complete coverage and what little kid does’nt love animals! Her favorite is the giraffe. I am totally satisfied with this purchase!

It’s worthy 5 star just for the fact the magnet sheet covers the entire back of the animal, there is no choking risk. I use these magnets with magnetic letters in my fridge(one animal and it’s name everyday). During the day I point it to my son and we play immitating the animal sounds and reading about that animal on his books. He loves to play with them!
Somedays I just have all the animals on the fridge for him to play with. He still brings everything to his mouth, so I’ll comment on the durability down the road.
The only thing I missed somewhere in the description of the product is that the storage box doesn’t has a lid…
