My 18 month old loves this toy and plays with it (we put it on the fridge) every time I’m busy working in the kitchen.

I bought this toy for my son for Christmas. I was a little worried that he might be too old for this toy and it wouldn’t get much use - but I was wrong. We had the farm version of this toy and my son played with it quite a bit when he turned one. Lately he has been into cars, trucks and trains as well as puzzles - so I thought this might be a good match. My son loves making the matches and hearing the little song that plays. He has played with this toy every single day for about 2 weeks now. I like that the toy reinforces language development, such as saying “Green Train” or “Red Car”. It will help him learn his colors while developing his matching skills. Great toy - Leap Frog is always a favorite in our house.

Nice, entertaining toy for my son and helps keep his hands away from the oven door (if only for 10 minutes or so.) I agree with the previous poster about the magnets not being strong enough. It kept slipping down our fridge so I moved it to the diswasher and it seems to be holding better there. Weird.
Also, I want to mention that the age guidelines are a little off. I don’t think this would be an appropriate toy for a 12 month old because it requires the child to put the magnets in a certain way and direction (sides of magnet are different.) My 19 month old struggles with it sometimes then gets frustrated and knocks them to the floor or dumps them in the drawer. He can play with it, just sometimes not in the way intended. Otherwise, a great toy with weird songs that aren’t as annoying as most electronic toys. I have to admit though I chuckled the first time I heard the song after he put a “train-car” together. Goes like (not exact) “You can wash that car till it’s shiny and clean but there’s something you should know… A train-car…That won’t go!”

We got this as a gift, and I love it. We’ve been playing with it with my son since he was six months old, but now at 11 months, he’s really interested in trying to activate it and playing with the magnets. It’s great for learning colors, matching concepts, and for learning vehicle sounds. But mostly, it’s just something fun to do with your child, and something fun for him or her to play with while you prepare dinner or do dishes. We rather like the songs and the guy’s voice that sings them. In fact, we prefer this to the farm fridge magnets, though we like both.
