I saw this in the Memphis airport for 12 dollars in the store. I did not have time to stop and buy but they had it for 12 dollars plus tax. This vendor is a rip off wanting over 50 dollars for it. And we all thought airport stuff was overpriced.
This is a great toy for my son as he is allergic to cats and dogs and other pets that he wants. He loves this and follows it around the house.

My daughter has been bugging me for years to get her a small rodent to love…hamster, mouse, gerbil…you name it. But because of allergies, lack of funds & chronic slobbiness…I’m afraid having an actual living creature cohabitating w/ us would end quickly in a smelly disaster. We saw a few news pieces on the popularity of Zhu Zhu Pets…and despite of the enormous price mentioned, I decided to check Amazon for a better price….well, Hamusuta the Happy Hamster pops up…and because of the price & reviews, I decided to order it for my daughter’s 13th birthday. She loves this cute, little, AA-powered critter…even my 15-year-old cooed a little. They snuck it into a restaurant to show it off to our frineds…the waitress and manager almost kicked us out because they thought we had a live hamster rolling around our table. It was hilarious.
I did read the review where someone got their hair tangled into the wheels…so I forwarned my girls…but still had to remove some strands because of it rolling around the carpet. Better to keep it in its ball unless you have immaculate floors!

gave this to my two boys- age seven and twelve as part of a group of silly gifts I give on the last night of Hannukah. They thought they were great! They both had friends over, who also found them very amusing- the dinner table had a live action keep-the-hamster-on-the-table game ( Luckily, no falls, as I don’t know how the plastic would have done.) The boys then let the dogs chase the hamsters and left them to run around the room while they played other games. They commented and made jokes about them all night. No, not educational, but fun and cute. As an added bonus, no screwdriver is needed to put in the battery, so easy for me as well. Very funny little toy, and not so expensive that it will be a big deal to me when they eventually break. ( Or,realistically, when my boys break them.)

It is unbelievable how real this critter is rolling around floor in ball. My old cat was absolutely mesmerized. I could have watched it until battery ran out. This is an ideal gift for any age. I will have a smile on my face all night thinking about it.

I bought the Hamusuta in place of the (can’t get) Zhu Zhu Pets, it was a good investment. My granddaughter is 3 and wanted a hamster, so of course knowing she couldn’t take care of one or would get bored with it decided on a fake one. As soon as I received my package in the mail I had to play with it. It is so much fun!! I’m sure she will enjoy it as much as her MawMaw did.
